About Us
Meet Barry and Crystal, the owner-operators of C.B Painting Contractors. Longterm residents of Alice Springs, they started its first Indigenous-owned painting business in 2018.
Barry Cooke is a certified house painter and decorator, with over over 20 years experience. Barry has developed strong relationships with builders in town, and completed numerous contracts for the NT Government, Aboriginal Corporations, Shire Councils, local and interstate building companies and local residents of Alice Springs.
Before starting his own business, Barry was the Senior Painter for another Indigenous organisation that provides essential services, housing, and infrastructure in Alice Springs and remote communities.
Committed to the Community
Crystal and Barry’s goal is to create pathways for Indigenous people, both youth and adults, and work-ready people to learn the art of house painting and join their team. Barry mentors his employees while teaching them the skills and techniques of professional house painting.
C.B Painting Contractors is CAL Accredited and registered with Supply Nation as a Certified Indigenous owned and managed business.
